Symphotech supplies event safety and noise management for Let's Rock events

Symphotech supplied event safety and noise management across 12 Let’s Rock events, summer 2019, as the popular 80’s retro festivals sold over 250,000 ticket sales and introduced four new venues.

Symphotech has worked with the organisers, UK Live, for four years and each year introduces improvements in line with the client’s aspirations and growth. This year Will Hodgson, MD and event safety consultant, suggested a focus on control and management systems during the planning stages. This gave enhanced operational efficiency across all venues - with particular focus on the four new sites at Liverpool, Exeter, Belfast and Newport. Symphotech supported UK Live in all aspects of event safety, licensing, including pre-event and on-site liaison with local safety advisory groups. The team were present throughout every event weekend, helping deliver the events successfully to satisfy all stakeholders.

Our noise management division Acoustech run by Sophia Livett, were also present for live monitoring and management of sound levels. Acoustech’s off-site measurement of noise levels and liaison with sound engineers removed the potentially high levels off-site without affecting the enjoyment for the audience and ensured compliance with local licensing conditions at all of the venues.

Co-founder and director of Let’s Rock, Nick Billinghurst, commented:

“We use Symphotech at all of our shows, which is particularly important when we’re going into new sites, such as Belfast. They’re great to work with, really dynamic, an easy bunch to get on with. If we’re ever in a situation where we need some expert help they’re always at the end of a phone or email, or on-site at the events for liaison with the council.”
