Symphotech support Culture Liverpool with Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta 2018

Symphotech provided event safety management for Culture Liverpool at the Three Festivals Tall Ships Regatta, 25th – 28th May, 2018

The event featured an international fleet of Tall Ships that arrived into Liverpool as part of a four-day international maritime celebration. Symphotech were called in to advise on traffic management and crowd safety across a complex city centre site surrounded by water and busy roads.

Symphotech was entrusted to help create the event safety plans and implement them through the build and event. Particular attention was focussed on crowd flow and traffic management.

Eddy Grant, Symphotech’s Director of Safety said: "We provided logistical, pragmatic and practical solutions that helped the event run seamlessly for our clients and attendees.

“We introduced our new logging system, which gives us inaccurate timeline of the whole event which has benefitted our operations.”

In the weeks running up to the festival, Liverpool FC qualified for the Champions League Final against Real Madrid. In anticipation, Culture Liverpool had to respond quickly to plan a homecoming parade. Symphotech supported them by looking at contingencies and advised on the crowd management for a safe homecoming parade, despite it not coming to fruition on the day.
